Allopathic Physicians (M.D)
Duties and
Responsibilities.
Allopathic
doctors are also called as medical doctors and are responsible for diagnosing
and treating the conditions that affect the human body. An allopathic doctor
diagnoses the body conditions using tests and examinations and prescribes
medications to their patients based on their findings. Allopathic doctors
provide care for specific groups of people like people above the age 65 and for
children. Allopathic doctors can work in any one of the specialties within
their profession like gynecology, surgery, psychiatry or general medicine.
Salary:
The average annual salary for an allopathic physician varies by
specialty. In November 2009, the average annual salary for general practice
physicians without a specialty was between $50,868 and $179,510, according to
Payscale.com.
Education:
Doctors
typically receive a four-year bachelor's degree and then attend medical school
for four more years, after which a three- to eight-year residency is required
to practice medicine independently. Allopathic physicians must pass state
medical licensing exams before beginning their residency and usually are
required to pass a second exam at the end of their residency to gain
certification in their field of specialty.
No I would not like to be a allopathic Physician because it’s
like 8 years of studying and I would like to work and study something more
easier!
