Reflection 

 This proverb is true because what would be more desiring than having a good name. For example you're the richest person in the world but you have done something bad to obtain the money or whatever it took you to become rich . People of course are going to see you differently if they knew what you did. So its better to be known as a good person than the bad one that played dirty to obtain what you wanted.
