Final: Part 1
1. I liked several things about this class but mainly the fact that we had SSS they really taught me many things and are going to help me make good decisions in life.
2. The one and only thing I didn’t like about this class was how we only researched medical careers. The fact that I didn’t change seats a sat in the same area for the whole school year it was really sad I didn’t get to communicate or meet my other classmates somehow.
3. I would recommend for this class to simply give us the opportunity to do more projects and having to work as groups so we could meet other classmates not the same people from our row.
4. I defiantly did do my best every time I had the opportunity to CTR I didn’t specially because this is the class were I was taught to CTR and commit myself to do it. For example there was a couple of times when people wouldn’t exit out their work and I could’ve easily copied and paste but no I just saved it and did my own work because it’s called cheating and I didn’t want to risk my grade and not learn anything.
5. To be honest I don’t read it daily but I do read it when I have time or in class.
6. I’m getting there every time I do anything I don’t supposed to I remind myself that I do want to be a CTR person so I don’t CTW.

7. I would always remember the SSS they were really inspiring like choosing the right and how to be responsible, honest etc.
Student Success Statement
The Ultimate Choice:
Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone to being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. THE ULTIMATE CHOICE is: To be a CTR Person- to Always CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!!!

Reflection

Knowing that this is the last student success statement is really sad but I learned a lot and all this statements will stay with me forever specially this one. To be able to CTR might be difficult to some people but we should defiantly always try to choose the right and be a CTR person because it would make you a better person and it would make your life easier in many aspects.

Student Success Statement
“Success is not an accident. Success is actually a choice. Are the habits you have today on par with the dreams you have for tomorrow.

Alan Stein
Reflection

I do agree with this statement from Alan Stein because it reminds me of all the times I tried my best and thought about the fact that if I practice and do it is going to benefit me in the future. For example I had straight As for last semester and now I’m trying my best to have straight As this semester as well and just like many people work hard to achieve their goals. I want to do the same, and work so hard that I won’t have time to give up because I want to be someone important many young people look up to.

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder”

Thomas Carlyle
Reflection

I think that this statement is talking about the fact that if you don’t have a goal you won’t know which way to follow and it would be harder for you to succeed. As if you already know what you want to be and what your goals are you are most likely to succeed and it would be easier. Like the example he used a ship without a rudder wouldn’t know which direction to go. So it’s better for you to set up your goals now so you won’t have to suffer later.

                               Chinese Proverb

Student Success Statement
“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating”

Sophocles
Reflection

I strongly agree with this statement because if you win and you decided to cheat it’s not good probably you are going to feel that sensation of winning for a little while but then you won’t be able to live with the guilt of knowing that you cheating. But in the other hand if you didn’t win but you played or did everything right than you would feel proud of yourself because you did everything you could’ve done to win and you would just keep trying and trying.
Memorial Day

Memorial Day, an American holiday observed on the last Monday of May, honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, at least, it marks the beginning of summer. We could host a parade dedicated for the men and women who died in the U.S. military. Customize a special offer for those who present military ID, such as 20 percent off your product or service.

Student Success Statement
“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”

Wilford Woodruff
Reflection

I agree with this statement because it’s the truth and anyone that don’t agree with it wouldn’t have evidence to support it because it’s obvious if you do the wrong you won’t get anything in exchange. For example you forget to go to tutoring and you keep lying to your teacher making up excuses well guess what you chose the wrong and you aren’t getting anything back instead you are becoming a liar and you aren’t learning.
LAUSD: Families
1.                       Counseling and Guidance
Families overcoming Under Stress™ (FOCUS) provides resiliency training to military children and families. It teaches practical skills to meet the challenges of deployment and reintegration, to communicate and solve problems effectively, and to successfully set goals together and create a shared family story. Developed by a UCLA-Harvard team, FOCUS teaches military children and families affected by multiple deployments to understand their emotional reactions, communicate more clearly, solve problems more effectively, and set and achieve their goals. Parents and children—from preschoolers to teens—learn to use tools that will better prepare them for each new deployment. Families are directly impacted when a parent returns with significant levels of combat operational stress. A parent might return home and encounter deployment reminders in their daily life, leading to changes in their mood and behavior. These changes can be upsetting to children and spouses, and affect parenting and marital relationships. FOCUS helps families understand how reactions to deployment reminders can influence relationships and teaches skills to deal with them.
2. LAUSD PARENTS' BILL OF RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Parents as Equal Partners in the Education of Their Children, a resolution adopted by the Board of Education in December 2010, embraces family strengths and assets as essential to the academic success of students, and recognizes parents as the first and most important lifelong teachers of their children. To that end, families and schools accept responsibility for student success

These services would defiantly benefit me personally in many ways for example if I need counseling I would just contact my school’s counselor.

My family would most likely use it in times we need help and don’t know who to ask them we would use this services.

The Nicest Man in the World

It’s really inspiring to know that in our society we still have human beings like Patrick Morgan. It was a normal day when at work he found thousands of dollars with an iPad. He decided to give it to the attorneys so they could find the owner its really interesting how the owner gave him $60 I mean sixty dollars is nothing compare to the 13 dollars he gave back I mean if another person were to find that much money I don’t think the owner would have ran with the same luck because who ever found that much money would've kept it and spend it on whatever they wanted. But that’s not the only thing he did with the sixty dollars he decided to give it away to a homeless woman he thought needed more than him. He was rewarded with a check of $630 and a certificated for being honest. He is really a good guy and deserves that and many more things. God bless him!

Student Success Statement
“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.”

Dr. Laura Schlessinger
Reflection:
I defiantly agree with her because it’s true. You do what’s right and of course people are going to have a nice image of you and congratulated you for doing the right thing. But what you feel what you think of yourself after you have done what’s right is extraordinary it’s a sensation that you can’t explain because you did the right thing and you feel good about it. You feel proud and that feeling you wouldn't want to exchange it with anything because it’s the reward you have gotten in exchange of what you have done.

Summary: Forgiveness

Forgiveness can be the only word that can help you heal after you have been injured like in the video. Renee is the mother of one of the two girls that die in a car accident due to the fact that the car driver was drunk. HE was found guilty and was sentenced 22 years of prison. Megan and Lisa were both twenty years old and they had died instantly due to the accident. Renee felt right because Eric Smallridge was going to jail but later something expectable happened. Renee asked the judged to reduce the years Eric had to pay in prison because he was really sorry and she had forgiven him. The judge did simply because she had forgiven him and later he felt relieved that he didn’t have to be carrying all the weight. Now they go to every High school and speak to kids so they can learn and prevent driving while they are drunk because it can cause many accidents. Renee states that by her forgiving him she feels happy and doesn’t have to worry about that anymore she can move on now.

Student Success Statement
“When a deep injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive”

                     Alan Paton
Forgive: to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake.

Reflection:
I kind of agree with this statement and have my reasons why. I think that if someone has hurt us so much that we can’t forgive is not our fault it’s theirs. Meaning probably you feel better by not forgiving them probably that’s the only thing that makes you feel better that they won’t receive your forgiveness. But there’s other cases where you forgive and you feel good about because you are letting everything go and don’t have to deal with it.

Student Success Statement
“Dare to stand alone”

By: Thomas S. Manson
Reflection:
Well it depends not every time your following the crew is going to end up bad I mean it depends with who you associate yourself with. If you are a CTR person it’s obvious you’re going to be wise enough to pick good and responsible friends that won’t get you into trouble. But if you have bad friends yes it’s better to be alone than with bad people that are only taking advantages of you and making you do things you don’t want to.

Student Success Statement
“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing”

                Theodore Roosevelt
Reflection
I think to make a right decision you should do the right thing and it’s obvious. Unless your just a person that doesn't care and don’t think of what choices are good for you. For example you know who the person that stole the teacher’s phone was and you don’t know what to do. But its obvious that if you want to be a CTR person you do what’s right and tell your teacher what you know or seen. So every time you see yourself in a situation where you don’t know what to do just do what’s right trust me it’s going to make your life much easier.

Life Planning Progress Post

I have written about 300 plus goals in my life planning book. I have proudly written 143 victories in my life planning Notebook. Every time I come to class I try my best to bring my book so I can be ready to read and wrote goals in it. They can either be long term or short term goals; I would really hope to write victory on the long term goals because I really want to do them one day. They are pretty interesting by the way and with the help of god I would write victory one day.day. I'm planning to write more and more until I don’t have no more space in my notebook. Mr. Haymore has taught me that if I want to make something I crave so much real I could and everything is possible. There some goals I would like to accomplish but I don’t write them down because their impossible and yes I heard the impossible can be possible if you put in hard work and determination. That’s true but I have a big imagination and sadly that’s what they are. Before I go to sleep I think of all my dreams I have and wonder which ones am I going to be able to make them come true. I’m pretty sure the ones I have written in my life planning notebook I would work hard to accomplish them but the rest I would just leave them as my dreams.

Summary

Amazing! Who could believe that Dr.Bob could have such a big heart and do what his doing. The fact that he uses his own salary to pay for his patients prescriptions and counseling it’s really good. Good must be really proud of and so each and every patient of his. Mainly because his saving many people’s life and also because he has such a good heart and does what he does. I think that every time he listens a patient tell him that they can’t afford the medicine it breaks his heart and he doesn't tell them I feel sorry for you now leave. No instead he pays for it and does everything that’s in his hands to help them. In the video it only shows like 3 great things he does for his patients but I’m pretty sure he does that every day and he feels good about it. Knowing that a lot of people thank him and love him because of what his doing. It makes me realized how blessed I am for being healthy and living a pretty normal life and I should make a difference just like he is doing. His not taking the credit and doing it just for the money his doing it to help people in need. If we want to make this world and society a better place we should start making a change it doesn't matter if it’s something small sooner or later it’s going to make a change and you’re going to be proud of yourself. Like his doing he knows that he hasn't been recognized for doing that but he doesn't care he keeps doing it hoping it’s going to make a change. The lesson that he thought me is doing it for the money is not such great thing to do compare to doing it from your heart you wanting to do it because at the end greater things are going to recompense you.
Student Success Statement
“Make each day your master piece. You have to apply yourself each day to become a little better, and over a period of time you become a lot better”

                                            John Wooden
Reflection

I agree with this statement from John Wooden because it’s totally true for example like people say “Practice makes Perfect” so his basically saying if you practice and you do it right you are going to get better at it and at a certain point you become a lot better.

Summary

A day as normal as it always felt, no one had it coming. Sara is part of the Western Oregon Softball team and she has never had the opportunity to score a home run but that today was here with the help of two girls from the opposite team Central Washington. When it was Sara’s turn to play she had threw the softball outside the base line but unfortunately she had hurt her knee but Mallory and Liz decided to help her so she can make a home run. The reason why is because No one from her team could’ve helped her because those were the rules. Like the coach had said it was a great moment because those two girls had the character to step up at the right tight time. Sara was so grateful for what they had done that she didn’t have the words to explain how happy and thankful she was. It was really emotional knowing that there are still people like them doing what’s right and not selfish. I say this because if Liz and Mallory were selfish they would never had done what they did.

Student Success Statement
“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”

Pam Knox
Reflection

Yes I agree with this statement from Pam Knox because we all have to admit we felt good and had a great time when someone had the character to step up and do what’s right.

Reflection

No I would not like to become a medical illustrator simply because I’m not good at drawing and it seems complicated in some way.

Reflection

I think that by doing these 10 commandments you are going to do good to the earth, the people around you and yourself. I think that each and every one of these commandments were invented for a reason and if you want to become a CTR person you should defiantly follow them and do what’s right. I personally try do follow them as an everyday thing but I didn't know how important they were to the Indians. If we want to make this world a better place we should start by trying our best to follow this commandments.

 Student Success Statement
“A promise must NEVER BE BROKEN”

Alexander Hamilton

Reflection
I think that if you are willing to make a promise is because you aren't thinking or willing to break it because that’s what promises are meant for. For example you make a promise to not tell your friend what her boyfriend did to her but not you decide to tell your other best friend but little do you know she has another best friend and the chain keeps going and by a matter of time the whole school knows. Then one day that little secret you promise not to tell anyone somehow got to your friend she realized you were the only person you trusted and the only person she told. How do you feel now? Exactly so if you promise something think twice before making a promise because if you break it bad things are going to happen to you. I'm pretty sure everyone has made a promise and has broken it but if you do it intentionally that's something else that's going to cause a lot of damage that you wont be able to fix when you realized what you've done.

Medical Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical duties are taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.
Salary
A Medical Assistant earns an average wage of $13.30 per hour.
Education
If you choose this path, here is what you need to do: Have a high school diploma or GED. The minimum educational requirement for medical assistants is a high school diploma or equivalency degree.

Reflection

I would probably like to become a medical assistant but I’m not sure it sounds pretty easy and the fact that it only requirements a high school diploma means it might be easy and I could learn new things. If I were to become a doctor working as an assistant might help me get there. So I hope God has a good future planned for me and I would like for this job to be included.
